Beginning in 2020, ALPHA French boutique small class courses have been well received by both students and parents. Our French teacher is an experienced Ontario French Professional Licensed Teachers (OCT). It is our goal to provide high-quality professional French courses to English school students so that they can achieve the official French level and have greater advantages in future education, life, and work. DELF French Level Lessons for September 2023 are now open for enrollment.
Based on the official DELF certificate issued by the French Ministry of Education as the teaching material framework, regardless of the purpose of obtaining a qualification, the learning content is highly detailed and rigorous. Students can participate in six levels of certification exams after completing all levels of study.
What is DELF? DELF (Diploma in French) is an official qualification issued by the French Ministry of Education to test and certify French skills of candidates whose mother tongue is not French. It certifies a candidate’s French proficiency according to six levels of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): from A1 (beginner) to C2 (advanced). The test evaluates language ability in four areas: oral comprehension, oral expression, written comprehension and written expression. Exam results are universal and valid for lifetime.
Elementary: A1, A2
Intermediate: B1, B2
Advanced: C1, C2
DELF A1
Our teacher will provide basic French knowledge to the student at an A1 level with a great deal of patience in a fun class. The teacher will lay a solid foundation for the student at this “discovery” stage. When finished, the student can interact in a simple way: he can talk about himself and his immediate environment.
DELF A2
By the end of an A2 course, a student will be able to communicate socially in French. Following the teacher’s guidance, the students will practice communicating about simple and routine tasks that require common phrases and information exchange.
DELF B1
The teacher will help a student with a B1 level improve their ability to communicate independently and maintain a conversation in French. As well as understanding and participating in a discussion, he is able to express his opinion. Moreover, he is also capable of handling situations that are likely to happen in everyday life.
DELF B2
Our teacher will help the students in B2 level class to be able to support their opinions with arguments, explain their points of view and negotiate. Students at this level will be expected to be fluent and spontaneous during regular interactions and be able to correct their own mistakes.
At AlphaEDU, we have instructors with extensive experience in all levels of academic math and Waterloo Math Competitions. APM
The Canadian elementary math curriculum is relatively easy and less focused compared to the international average. Such potential problems cause students extensive difficulties in understanding mandatory math classes in higher level education. To strategically make math an easier and more fun subject, AlphaEDU Academy, through research and development, came up with the new math program to help students in the early stages of education.
Alpha Power Math is a unique program based on Singapore’s elementary math textbooks. Our instructors are Math PhD’s from Western University. By studying and reasonably combining the Canadian grade 1-8 math curriculum with in-depth supporting concepts, our instructors developed the Alpha Power Math Program to help Canadian elementary and junior high school students advance in logical thinking and math skills. This program focuses on step by step understanding of fundamental math concepts, practicing multiple methods of problem solving, advancing logical thinking, and achieving easy math learning. Along with the in-class curriculum, our instructor also developed after-class practices for student to get more experience with various types of problems. Pre-assessments will be carried out before enrollment to determine which level fits each student’s best. With Alpha Power Math, we ensure a solid foundation to carry out future math development. Study with us and make math easy.
High School Level Math
High school level math is very challenging due to the significant gap in difficulty between it and elementary level math. Several math courses in high school also provide the fundamentals for many Canadian university or college programs. AlphaEDU high school level math programs are designed to ensure students’ understanding of math concepts and ability to solve difficult questions while covering each topic in the specific math courses of the Ontario curriculum. Courses available at AlphaEDU include Principles of Mathematics, Foundations of Mathematics, Functions, Applications, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors.
